Monday-
Decide today is the day- pack Drimmel and cutting tool
Fall down icy stoop stairs at 4:30am on way to work- mental process: "Okay, icy stairs... gotta be careful.." ssteeeppp...... *whump whump whump*
Lay out cables and prepare to cut.
Can't find drill bit in my bag... damn it! have to try again tomorrow.
Tuesday-
See manager from restaurant across the street and she agrees to let me borrow her bolt cutters for a free cup of coffee
2pm- liberate bike that has been chained to Starbucks handicap entrance railing for 6 weeks.
Ending 1-
Decide to ride bike home (100 blocks/~5mi.)
Turning the first corner, I realize that the old adage, "It's like riding a bike, you never forget." is incorrect.
Dodging and weaving, I fell infront of and was smashed by an arab cabbie.
thus the end of Goodie Hainline.
Ending 2 (The Alternate Universe Where Hainline is still alive)-
Decide to ride bike home and quickly discover the old adage, "It's like riding a bike, you never forget." is incorrect.
Think i might be able to pick it up pretty quickly riding up and down the block.
reaching for a fence to brace, my fingers bend sideways and i broke my hand
sling my new-to-me bike over my shoulder and head home
sleep all afternoon with my hand in a bucket of ice while my radiator isn't working
strap on my personally designed country bumpkin finger brace made out of bandage tape and a pen casing
finally report to the board my misadventures.
