pittsburgh: its time for that bill cowher choke.

denver: not the best team in the tournament but , they have the best chance to win. this game is at home where the donks enjoy the best home field winning percentage in the history of the nfl. (cheater altitude) and if they win they get either a team playing its 3rd string halfback or the biggest losers in playoff history. except maybe the vikings.

carolina: i really think that this team can win with goings running the ball. you run the ball with good blocking. i say if there is a hole to run through, goings can run through it. i feel they are head and shoulders above the peacocks. i think carolina wins in a romp. by at least 14 points.

seattle: well balanced team. they got here because of the weakness of the nfc. first they got to feast on the rams, niners, and cardinals for 6 of their wins. then that cupcake schedule gets them a bye, and look who they have to play...........washington who just squeeked into the playoffs and would have lost to tampa if sims wasn't a newbie. this team is not as good as they look on paper. i predict hasselback will finally throw all of those interceptions he's been saving up. he's the weakest qb left i think. and the biggest reason seattle will lose.

i dont know the spreads and i dont care

denver and carolina win on sunday.

Sorry, I sorta fell asleep at the wheel:

Odds as of blah blah blah, from Fox Sports Net

Pittsburgh @ Denver -3.5
Carolina @ Seattle -3.5

Well, I am 7-1 in the playoffs so hopefully I can continue the streak...

Denver -3.5

I think these two teams are very very similar. The only difference I can find is that Mike Shannahan is a much better coach, and Denver is playing at home. So for that reason alone I am going with Denver. I don't know if they will cover the spread, but we shall see.

Seattle -3.5 LPL

I agree with DP about Seattle, but I just don't think Carolina is going to win. To stop Carolina's offense, all you have to do is contain Steve Smith. Really they don't have squat after that. I think Seattle's record is inflated, but playing in that crazy ass stadium, I really think they have an advantage.

So DP who do you think the best team in the tournament is/was? Indi? New England? Chicago? I do think that the last four teams left are the best teams. We all know Indi is soft. New England got beat by the Broncos twice in the same year, and Chicago turned out to be a bust.

pittsburgh is the best team still playing. they won't win cuz bill cowher plays too conservatively in big games.
remember that crazy fleaflicker variation that the steelers pulled out at cincy? at that point the game was over. but in the conference championship game i predict that cowher will call nothing but bettis up the middle.

if carolina had either foster or davis i would say they are the best team. but they dont so its pittsburgh.

and i am just referring to the talent of the players on the field.

pittsburgh doesn't have major contributors hurt. and i think they have the best defense of the 4 great defenses left. polamalu is the reason why. best safety in the nfl hands down!

I think that the Pit @ Den game will feature two of the best safetys in the NFL with Polamalu and Lynch. I also think we will see the two most underrated TE's in Miller and Putzier.

I tend to think the opposite about Cowher. I suspect we wil see a bunch of trick plays and unconventional play calling. I hope you are right though, because if all they do is give the ball to the Bus, Den will have a good chance of winning. Granted the Bus is great, but he is not as good as Larry Johnson, or LT or Clinton Portis or any of the other great running backs Denver has stoned in the regular season.

It's just interesting that Larry Johnson has already been thrown into the 'Great Running Backs' category. He had a great ending of the season no doubt but the O-line is great...

Damn!!!

Oh well, I still think Denver had a great year. We won the AFC West and made it all the way to the AFC Championship which was much better than I ever expected. I suppose that we got all the breaks in the New England game, so I can't bitch too much. The best thing, is that now I can actually enjoy watching the SuperBowl. If Denver was in it, I would have to hole my self in some secret location, but now, I can get my drink on.

Not sure who I am going to root for. Usually, I root for whatever team knocked my team out, because I am a homer who generally will always root for whatever team in the same division/conference/league as mine. Still, I would really like to see Seattle finally win a SuperBowl. I suppose I don't really care too much.

Friday I will post the spead and put a number of prop bets out there for our entertainment.
